In short: Auto Refresh Master keeps most of your settings in your browser. We collect a limited amount of information to run accounts and to improve the user experience, and it is all listed on this page.
1. Information we collect
- Install record. When you accept the terms, the extension registers with our server. We store a random install ID, your browser name and version, operating system, extension version, language, time zone, IP address, approximate country, and whether the extension is still installed.
- Account. If you log in, we store your email address and the name you tell us to call you. With email login, codes are sent to that address and expire after 10 minutes. With Google login, Google gives us your name and email address; we do not receive your Google password or any other Google data.
- Alert settings. If you are logged in, the alert settings you save are stored on our server under your account: keywords, monitored areas, click targets, cookie rules, recorded steps, keyword templates and the websites you chose to remember. Cookie rule values and text typed in recorded steps are part of these settings.
- Websites you refresh. When you start a refresh, the extension sends the domain name of that website (for example, example.com). We keep a total count per domain. The full page address and the page content are not sent, and the count is not stored with your account or install ID. Nothing is sent from Incognito windows.
- Ratings and feedback. A star rating you give in the extension, and the reasons and message you send on the uninstall page, are stored with your install ID.
2. Why we collect it
- To improve the user experience: knowing which browsers, versions and kinds of websites the extension is used on helps us fix problems and decide what to build.
- To let you log in and use your alert settings on different devices and browsers, so your data is not lost.
- To prevent abuse of the login system.
We do not sell your information, and there is no advertising in the extension.
3. Information stored on your device
- Your settings and the options you last used.
- Per website: the refresh settings you last used there, and the keywords, monitored area, click targets, cookie rules and recorded steps you saved for that website.
- Schedules, including the address of the page each schedule refreshes.
- Keyword templates.
- Your install ID, your login (if you are logged in), your rating, and the date you accepted the terms.
- A saved copy of the terms and conditions, so they can be shown when you are offline.
While a tab is refreshing, its title and address are also held temporarily and cleared when the browser closes.
4. Information sent elsewhere
- Webhook alerts. Only if you enter a webhook address: when an alert fires, the page address, page title, matched keyword and time are sent to the address you entered.
- Websites you refresh. Reloading a page, fetching it in the background, clicking elements and setting cookies are requests and actions on that website, made as you.
- Email. Login codes are sent through our hosting provider’s mail service.
- Google. If you choose Google login, the sign-in is handled by Google on our login page.
- Our website. The extension loads the terms and conditions from autorefresh.club, and tells our website that it is installed so the site can show an open button.
5. Permissions and why they are needed
- Tabs and current tab: to reload the tabs you choose and act on the tab you are viewing.
- Storage: to save your settings on your device.
- Access to a website (asked per website): to read the page for monitoring, show the on-page timer, click elements and replay recorded steps. You can decline, and you can remove access later in your browser’s extension settings.
- Access to autorefresh.club: for the install record, login, saved alert settings, ratings and the terms and conditions.
- Cookies: only to apply cookie rules you create.
- Notifications: to alert you when a monitor fires.
- Alarms, idle, power, scripting and side panel: to keep timers accurate, detect when you are using the page, keep the computer awake if you ask, run the features above and show the side panel.
6. Recorded steps
The macro recorder saves the elements you click and the text you type into fields while recording. Password fields are never recorded. Do not record other sensitive information.
7. Keeping and deleting your data
- Settings on your device stay until you remove them or remove the extension.
- When you remove the extension, your install record is marked as uninstalled.
- To have your account, saved alert settings or install record deleted, email autorefresh.club@gmail.com from the address you logged in with.
8. Children
The extension is a general browser tool and is not directed at children.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects your data, this page will be updated.
